To apply, complete the application form and email the following documents to SODResearch@vcu.edu

Resume and personal statement

In your statement, please discuss your past research experiences, if any; the reasons you wish to enter the summer program; and your future career goals. Please also indicate your preferred research area.

Transcripts

Please send an unofficial copy of your undergraduate transcripts from all institutions you have attended. If you are offered admission to the program, official transcripts will be required.

Letter of recommendation

Two letters of recommendation, on official letterhead, must be sent directly to the program at sodresearch@vcu.edu by the recommending individual. We will not accept letters of recommendation received directly from you. By submitting your application, you waive any rights to view this confidential letter. You are required to notify the recommending individual that letters of recommendation for this program are confidential and information contained within those letters is not shared with the student.
